Ryan Silva founded RES Construction in 2026. He brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in residential remodeling, maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, landscape construction, and infrastructure management. His experience ranges from detailed finish carpentry and residential renovations to large-scale structural repairs, deck construction, appliance installation, and maintenance of complex facilities and water systems.

From 2012 to 2018, Ryan served as Facilities Manager at the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center, where he was responsible for maintaining and improving an 80-acre educational retreat center. His work included maintaining residential and commercial buildings, a commercial kitchen and dining facilities, guest housing, a state-regulated public water system, and agricultural water infrastructure. He also developed project budgets, coordinated contractors and trade professionals, and managed and mentored interns.

Since 2019, Ryan has worked independently on residential remodeling projects for owner-builders, assessing structural damage, coordinating subcontractors, and completing a wide range of repairs and improvements. His projects have included major termite and water-damage repairs, window and door installation, kitchen and bath renovations, and siding and trim replacement.

Ryan brings together traditional building skills, practical problem-solving, project management, and a strong commitment to sustainable construction. His work reflects a belief that thoughtful repair, creative reuse, and quality craftsmanship can produce beautiful buildings that are both functional and environmentally responsible.
